On Friday August 28 at 7pm a talk is being given by Yvonne McEwen of Edinburgh University about the Scotland’s War website. She is an expert on family and military history.

On Saturday August 29 from 10am to 1pm the public are invited to come to the library with family stories, artefacts and photos from the Front Line or Home Front.

Gayle Ferguson, Argyll and Bute Council's Culture and Heritage Support Officer, said: "You can receive free expert advice in identifying any items you may have from that period of history.

"You can learn how to find and utilise information and resources on the internet. It would be wonderful to hear your family stories from WWI."
