HELENSBURGH Heritage Trust is seeking a new chairman.

The chairman for the past four years, the Rev David Clark, retired from the post and as a Trustee at the end of March 2020.

David (right) now lives permanently in the Dunblane area, and felt that he could no longer do justice to the day to day work of the Trust and to chairing the winter open meetings.

Minutes secretary and website editor Donald Fullarton said: "He has been an excellent chairman and we will miss his wit and patience at board meetings, as well as his conducting and speaking at winter open meetings.

"He also played an important role in various trust activities, from arranging speakers to obtaining storage space."

It is hoped to have a new chairman in place in time for the start of the 2020-21 winter meetings, intended for the last Wednesday in September — if the restrictions on public gatherings have been lifted by then.
